NEW YORK — Police say a woman holding her baby boy plunged eight stories out of a New York City apartment window to her death in an apparent suicide and the baby survived.
Cynthia Wachenheim was discovered by police Wednesday; her baby Keston was in her arms. The police officer who responded took the baby to a hospital, where he was listed in critical but stable condition.
The baby is 10 months old. A hospital spokeswoman says she has no immediate information on his condition.
