AUGUSTA, Maine — Gov. Paul LePage has vetoed five more bills as lawmakers near the end of the 2013 legislative session.
The Republican governor handed out the vetoes Tuesday.
Among the bills is one that would have required the state's public charter schools to be run as nonprofit organizations. LePage said that the bill puts new constraints on charter schools, limiting students' educational choices.
