WALDOBORO, Maine — Police in the Maine town of Waldoboro are investigating an animal cruelty case involving a young dog that they say was shot 80 to 100 times with a BB gun.
Officials say 1-year-old black lab was taken to Lincoln County Animal to be spayed when workers noticed the BB pellets.
WLBZ-TV reports (http://on.wlbz2.com/13CDLBy) that x-rays show that the dog was shot in the face, stomach and back.
