HARRINGTON PARK, N.J. — Police say a New Jersey boy temporarily lost consciousness when he was hit in the chest with a ball during a youth baseball game but was quickly revived by a spectator who performed CPR.
Harrington Park police tell The Record the 8-year-old Northvale boy was sliding into third base Saturday when the ball hit him just above the heart. Witnesses said the boy's eyes rolled back into his head and he stopped breathing.
