COBURN GORE, Maine — Federal border agents say a man who entered Maine illegally over the weekend has pleaded guilty and will be deported to Italy.
Twenty-six-year-old Leandro Bettiol, who has dual citizenship from Brazil and Italy, was accused of walking around Coburn Gore border crossing to enter Maine, where he was arrested.
On Monday, he pleaded guilty and was sentenced to time served.
On Tuesday, he was unavailable for comment while in the custody of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement pending his deportation to Italy.
